About Deborah
I have been helping people polish their writing for almost 30 years. I have a B.A. in English from Saint Anselm College in New Hampshire and an M.A. in Pastoral Ministry & Social Justice from Boston College, and I earned a teaching certification in High School English through the Massachusetts Department of Education.
My background has included roles as English teacher, child advocate, alternative high school director, adult literacy instructor, and most recently, office manager. I have facilitated trainings, given workshops, and led retreats. I've worked with all age groups and with diverse populations, and I've coached people through times of crisis and personal growth. I discovered mindfulness and meditation in 2010 during a particularly stressful time, and it helped me begin to change my life for the better. Seeing a natural connection between mindfulness and writing, I started Write Here and Now in 2014. This work allows me to combine my expertise in writing with my passion for sharing mindfulness with others. In 2018, I completed a Mindfulness Teacher Certification through All That Matters in Rhode Island. When I'm not helping people with their writing, I love to hang out with my sons, learn new things, and visit the White Mountains of NH where I grew up. |
